Child Protection
The YMCA of Queanbeyan is committed to the safety and well being of all children and young people accessing it's programs and services. We support the rights of the child and will strive to deliver a child safe environment at all times.
YMCA staff and volunteers have a duty of care to ensure that all who access the association's programs, services and facilities are provided with a safe, open and honest environment that protects children and young people.
Staff and volunteers will have a police check along with the state legislated Working with Children screening requirements conducted by the YMCA of Queanbeyan. Staff are also required to regularly access training in Child Protection and related matters.
Services
Most primary Schools in the Queanbeyan area are serviced by the YMCA Before School Care service.
Cost includes breakfast and bus trip to school.
Your child's needs and choices are respected and catered for by our staff when planning programs.
Cost is $13.00 per morning.
All of our Childcare bases are accredited with NCAC.
YMCA is a registered Child Care Centre and Child Care Benefit is available through Centrelink for eligible families.
Queanbeyan - YMCA Childrens Centre - 2 Southbar Road, Queanbeyan.
All Queanbeyan primary schools, with the exception of Jerrabomberra Public, are serviced by this base.
Children are transported to their school by YMCA bus, arriving at their school before 9.00am.
Centre opens at 7.00am.
Bungendore - YMCA Kool Kids, Bungendore Public School.
Only Bungendore Public School is serviced by this base.
Centre opens at 7.00am.
