Child Protection
The YMCA of Queanbeyan is committed to the safety and well being of all children and young people accessing it's programs and services. We support the rights of the child and will strive to deliver a child safe environment at all times.
YMCA staff and volunteers have a duty of care to ensure that all who access the association's programs, services and facilities are provided with a safe, open and honest environment that protects children and young people.
Staff and volunteers will have a police check along with the state legislated Working with Children screening requirements conducted by the YMCA of Queanbeyan. Staff are also required to regularly access training in Child Protection and related matters.
Services
All primary Schools in the Queanbeyan area are serviced by the YMCA After School Care service.
Cost includes afternoon tea and bus trip from school if applicable.
Children can mix in either small or large groups, can choose to have quiet time or finish their homework.
Your child's needs and choices are respected and catered for by our staff when planning programs.
Cost is $17.00 per afternoon.
All of our Childcare bases are accredited with NCAC.
YMCA is a registered Child Care Centre and Child Care Benefit is available through Centrelink for eligible families.
St Gregorys - St Gregorys McQuoid Street Campus, Queanbeyan.
Schools serviced by this base are St Gregorys Lowe and McQuoid Streets and Queanbeyan East and West Public.
Children from Lowe Street and Queanbeyan East and West Public Schools enjoy mixing with those from other schools and are picked up by YMCA bus and transported to the base. Cost of transport is included in the fee.

Queanbeyan South - Queanbeyan South Public School, Cameron Road, Queanbeyan.
Schools serviced by this base are Queanbeyan Public - Isabella Street and Queanbeyan South Public - Cameron Road.
Children from Queanbeyan Public enjoy mixing with those from another school and are picked up by YMCA bus and transported to the base. Cost of transport is included in the fee.

Jerrabomberra - Jerrabomberra Public School.
Only Jerrabomberra Public School is serviced by this base.
